China and DPRK have all along maintained the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation, and leaders of the two Parties and two countries have kept in frequent contact. Kim Il Sung during his lifetime made dozens of visits to China, and Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping and other Chinese leaders made many visits to the DPRK over different periods.
