From November 23 to 28, 1990, Jung Hyung Muk, Premier of the Administration Council of the DPRK, paid a visit to China.

From May 3 to 6, 1991, Li Peng, Premier of the State Council of China, paid a visit to the DPRK.

From June 17 to 20, 1991, Qian Qichen, State Councillor cum Foreign Minister of China, paid a visit to the DPRK.

From October 4 to 13, 1991, Kim Il Sung, General Secretary of the WPK Central Committee and President of the DPRK, paid a visit to China.

From April 13 to 17, 1992, Yang Shangkun, President of China, paid a visit to the DPRK.

From June 4 to 11, 1992, Yang Baibing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC, Secretary General of the Military Commission of the Central Committee of the CPC and Director of the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army, paid a visit to the DPRK.

From July 26 to 29, 1993, Hu Jintao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and Member of the Secretariat, led a Chinese Party and government delegation to pay a visit to the DPRK.

From June 6 to 13, 1994, Choe Gwang, Member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, Vice-Chairman of the National Defense Commission and Chief of the General Staff of the People's Army, led a DPRK military delegation to pay a visit to China.

From September 27 to October 4, 1994, Li Jong Ok, Member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and Vice-President of the DPRK, led a DPRK Party and government delegation to pay a visit to China.

From May 21 to 25, 1996, Hong Song Nam, Vice-Premier of the Administration Council of the DPRK, led a DPRK Party and government delegation to pay a visit to China.

From July 9 to 13, 1996, Kim Yoon Hyuk,Vice-Premier of the Administration Council of the DPRK, led a DPRK goodwill delegation to pay a visit to China.

From July 10 to 13, 1996, Luo Gan, State Councillor cum Secretary General of the State Council, led a Chinese goodwill delegation to pay a visit to the DPRK.

From June 3 to 7, 1999, Kim Yong Nam, President of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly led a DPRK State delegation to pay a visit to China. He was accompanied by Hong Song Nam, Premier of the Cabinet, Vice Marshal Kim Yil Cheol, Vice-Chairman of the National Defence Commission cum Minister of the People's Armed Forces, Choe Tae Bok, Member of the Secretariat of the WPK Central Committee cum Chairman of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Paek Nam Sun, Foreign Minister of the DPRK.

From October 5 to 9, 1999, Tang Jiaxuan, Chinese Foreign Minister, paid a visit to the DPRK.
