PYONGYANG, May 4 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of relatives on Tuesday paid tribute to Chinese volunteer soldiers who died fighting the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953) in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

At the graveyard of martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army in Hoi Chang, the delegation laid wreathes to the bronze statue of heroes and to the grave of Mao Anying, son of late Chinese leader Mao Zedong.

Mao Xinyu, nephew of Mao Anying, issued an oration.

The delegation also laid wreathes to the Tower of Friendship between China and the DPRK in Pyongyang.

The delegation, including Liu Songlin, widow of Mao Anying, and family members of Martyrs Huang Jiguang and Qiu Shaoyun, arrived in Pyongyang on Monday for a week-long visit.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army's entry into the DPRK to fight the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.
