PYONGYANG, June 6 (Xinhua) -- The congress chairman of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Wednesday held friendly talks with a visiting Vietnamese delegation, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

Choe Thae Bok, chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, met with the Vietnamese delegation, which is headed by Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu, chairperson of the Vietnamese National Assembly's Committee for Social Affairs, the KCNA reported.

The report didn't release any further details about the meeting.

The Vietnamese delegation arrived in Pyongyang on Saturday.
