1. Responsibilities:

(1) To coordinate bilateral exchange and cooperation in the bilateral relations, and promote day-to-day political communication and interaction between the two governments;

(2) To enforce the agreements and consensus reached by the Chinese and DPRK governments, and push forward the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation;

(3) To coordinate matters relating mutual visits by leaders of the two countries, and assist in materializing the visit and reception;

(4) To handle matters regarding coordination, consultations and representations between the two countries;

(5) To promote interactions and cooperation between governments, parliaments, academic institutions, non-governmental societies or groups and various walks of life in the two countries;

(6) To facilitate the exchange of the press and media in the two countries, and assist the DPRK-based Chinese news agencies to unfold their work;

(7) To master and research the situation in the country and the region to which the embassy is accredited;

(8) To provide information on China's development, and promote the understanding and friendship between the two peoples;

(9) To release news and speak on behalf of the embassy;

(10) To build and manage the embassy website.
