On September 7th Xinhua News Agency was authorized to announce that Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China had appointed and recalled the following ambassadors in accordance with the decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

Wu Donghe was relieved his post as Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the PRC to the DPRK.

Liu Xiaoming was appointed as the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the PRC to the DPRK
